I was so excited when Sarah had reached out to me again to do portraits! Originally, I had done her family portraits about a year ago.
Sarah is launching her own business now and was in need of some portraits for her new website! It's so fun to see the growth from the last time we took portraits together. I love it when clients come back because we get to catch up and talk about things we maybe weren't comfortable talking about the first time around.
We especially had a good talk about AI and what it has to offer in the future. It's easy for me to see the competition as a photographer trying to keep up with AI. But, what I was unaware of was AI being able to create websites from scratch. Only based on some keywords and phrases. It's one thing to use AI to help aid you in your work, but it's another thing when it completely replaces the need for a photographer or a website designer.
Sarah made a very good point though. As AI rises and becomes a more powerful tool, people are going to want to see people face-to-face. Creating a close and tight community is going to be essential as the change that AI brings, comes.
Chatting with Sarah about the future was quite comforting because it made me feel less alone. Sometimes, I feel like the role of a photographer becomes less and less important every day. But chatting with a fellow business owner made me realize that there will always be a place for us.
So, I am really glad that I got to take these portraits for Sarah and her daughter. It was a great time catching up and chatting as we got these! Sneak peeks from this delightful photoshoot are below!! :)
